Noise stuff.

I like noise. Even in my non-noise stuff, there's elements of it. A bit of dissonance here, some atonality there... you get the idea.
How has noise influenced you? What got you interested?

This in particular has had a huge influence on my music and what I define music as:

Have you read Luigi Russolo's Art Of Noises it was written in 1913 and is the creation of noise music. It's only a few pages long I definitely recommend checking it out.

I've heard of it but I've not read it. I'll do so now though!

i started getting into glitch and idm and stuff a few years ago, and when i heard someone mention "noise music" i got quite curious, so i did about two seconds of research and found worms plastic earthbound by merzbow. listened to the whole thing and was amazed by the way it sounded; like you were lying down in a tunnel that vibrated upon impact with radio waves and was near a factory. basically some really cool vibes

im not as interested in it as i used to be but its influenced my music a lot (distortion fuckin' everywhere, and ive even been sampling noise tracks in some of my witch house stuff lately)


another bad album (odaxelagnia) was the last noise album i really got into, but the problem with noise is that once you listen to a track, you cant really listen to it again and get the same experience. i find hypnosis recordings to be the same way (they only work well upon first listen- after that you have to find a new, similar one but not from the same person)

I... I actually don't like noise.  

I like Hitneck Records's noise tracks a lot. They were what introduced me to noise, specifically the "ZOHNW" album. I've also heard some Merzbow. I need to be in the right mood to listen to it, so I haven't explored the genre a ton, though I enjoy when I do.

it's lacking alot of things that people typically enjoy about music (and sounds in general, really), so its not that surprising
